The Configuration Management Analyst provides support to assigned programs within the Software Engineering Directorate (SED). Implements a formal CADM program in order to control baselines for classified and unclassified hardware and software code. Develops requirements, documentation development, configuration identification, configuration control, configuration accounting, and/or configuration verification. Performs data resource management duties, such as the development, execution, and supervision of plans, policies, programs, and practices that manage and secure critical information and knowledge of HW/SW, programs, and systems. Performs configuration and data management assignments, requiring use of applied concepts, principles, theories, practices, and techniques.

 Duties and Responsibilities

  * Uses the SED automated library storage and control system and the SED Engineering Repository for filing, cataloging software, documentation, and drawings 

 * Establishes baselines for hardware and software systems 

 * Reviews, analyzes, and updates packages and/or documentation for technical content, completeness, proper authorizations, and adherence to specific requirements, policies, and theories 

 * Schedules and provides review packages for SED internal Software Configuration Control Boards and updates the System Configuration Accounting System to reflect SCCB outcomes 

 * Prepares Engineering Change Proposals within MEARS 

 * Prepares revisions and new versions of specifications/documentation/drawings for software that SED has CM responsibility

  * Ensures proper security procedures and markings are followed

  * Prepares input to Configuration Management Plans, Software Management Plans, and Software Transition Plans IAW SED engineering processes

  * Provides duplication and distribution of fielding of software products

  * Participates in configuration audits

  * Reviews and provides analysis of prime contractors' Configuration Management Programs

  * Uses the SED CM Tool, Serena Dimensions, for technical system data

 * Develops and generates special reports and/or weekly progress reports

 * May develop and prepare specific requirements, standards, plans, and procedures

 * May provide technical advice and guidance on methods, procedures, and requirements

 * May provide release desk and help desk support

Required Experience

Required Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, or related field, or equivalent experience (8 years of related experience may be substituted for degree)

* Active Secret security clearance required

* Due to the nature of work we perform for the US Government, US Citizenship is required

* Working knowledge of desktop applications including word processing, spreadsheet, and database software packages

Preferred Qualifications

*  Proficiency in the use of CADM tools such as Serena Software, Inc Dimensions, CM, and MEARS

*  Configuration and Data Management (CADM) processes experience

*  Experience acquiring, demonstrating, and utilizing automated tools (commercial or custom) to improve productivity
