General Summary

The Aircraft Survivability Equipment (ASE) System Integration Lab (SIL) supports the early integration, testing, and acceptance of ASE software changes with aircraft avionics systems.  The software and systems engineer develops software tools based on government provided data for testing of ASE.  Documents the software design in a technical report.   Provides support to tailored Verification & Validation to verify that the requirements are correctly defined, and to validate that the system correctly implements the required functionality.  Provides technical expertise to support the operation, connection and testing in the ASE Lab.

Required Experience

Required Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in related field such as engineering, computer science, software engineering or equivalent experience.

* Minimum of five years system design experience, including hardware/software integration.

* Must have a secret clearance.

* Due to the nature of work we perform for the US Government, US Citizenship is required.

* C++ and C# coding experience.

* Engineering experience with tactical/avionics serial data buses.

* Engineering experience with bit level messaging formats.

Preferred Qualifications

* Master's degree preferred.

* Java and Ada coding experience.

* MIL-STD 1553 (Alta Data is a plus).

* Aviation/Avionics systems experience.

* Embedded systems experience.
