General Summary

AMPS Systems Engineer

COLSA Corporation is seeking candidates for an Aviation Mission Planning System (AMPS) Systems Engineer to join Product Director Aviation Network and Mission Planning, PEO Aviation in Huntsville, AL. We are seeking an individual who is excited about working with state-of-the art Aviation Systems and enjoys working with and solving complex problems. An AMPS system engineer will be a contributing team member for requirements analysis, test scenarios, digital simulations, and aircraft integration testing.  They will utilize In-depth knowledge of AMPS software and components to include FlaconView, AIM, and xPlan. 

Required Experience

Required Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or the equivalent experience (8 years of related experience may be substituted for degree).

* Minimum of eight years work related experience at the program level to provide programmatic and/or systems engineering/integration support to major DoD acquisition activities (16 total years of related experience is required if no degree).

* Active Security clearance required.

* Due to the nature of work we perform for the US Government, US Citizenship is required.

* Familiarization with AMPS software and components to include FlaconView, AIM, and xPlan.

* Cybersecurity (RMF) familiarization.

* Must have the ability to work in a teaming environment and have the interpersonal skills to interface with numerous Government and contractor personnel in a rapid paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with the SED software development process.

* Understanding of the National Geospatial Agency digital maps and terrain standards.

* Experience with AMPS support to A/C testing and certification requirements.

* Army Interoperability Certification experience.

* SharePoint knowledge.

* Familiarization with the DoD Acquisition policies and regulations.
