Aviation Analyst


Job Description:

Avion Solutions, Inc. is seeking candidates with recent UH/HH/MH/-60M Repairer (Army MOS 15T) experience for an Aviation Analyst position. Personnel will work as part of a Huntsville, AL based team supporting the Utility Helicopter PMO.  You will analyze maintenance records (score log books), compile scheduled and unscheduled maintenance historical data from ULLS-A databases, and provide inputs for BOIFD. Findings will result in improved TOE and MTOE structure for a more effective maintenance plan. Travel less than 10%.

Aviation Analyst Job Duties:

  • Advises in UH/HH/MH-60M techniques and procedures.
  • Advises on current U.S. Army procedures to inventory, store, and account for received spare parts, sets, kits, and equipment.
  • Identifies UH/HH/MH-60 unique parts and systems.
  • Provides UH/HH/MH-60M subject matter expert level advice on U.S. Army UH/HH/MH-60M techniques and procedures.
  • Attend meetings and provide input to improve the program.
  • Complete other assigned tasks

Required Experience:

  • Obtain and maintain a secret level security clearance while performing duties under this contract
  • Bachelor’s Degree plus 10 years of Aviation Maintenance OR HS/GED plus 14 years Aviation Maintenance experience.
  • Previously qualified as a U.S. Army 15T UH-60M Helicopter Repairer.
  • Experience is required in writing technical reports and providing presentations and demonstrations.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Army Aviation maintenance principles and Army Maintenance Management System – Aviation (TAMMS-A).
  • A working knowledge of ULLS-A(E)
  • Ability to intelligently converse with all levels of customers.
    • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Language Skills:  Ability to read, analyze, and interpret government regulations.  Ability to speak effectively, create reports, and write correspondence that is clear and well organized in the English language. 
  • Mathematical Skills:  Ability to use basic mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.  Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, discounts, and proportions to practical situations. 
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.  Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. 
  • Computer Skills: Familiar with Unit Level Logistics System-Aviation (Enhanced). Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite of productivity tools. Familiarity with SQL Server and MS Reporting Services a plus.
  • Physical Demands:     While performing the duties of this job, the employee requires normal manual dexterity, speech, and hearing.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job require frequent use of a computer monitor. 
    • ·         Work Environment:  Light travel may be required.  Work is accomplished in a moderately clean office environment with adequate environmental (heating/cooling) control.  The noise level in the work environment may occasionally be moderate due to noises associated with computer equipment, telephones, and environmental control systems.
