Clinical Quality Assurance Investigator


Responsibilities include the following:


-          Maintain database for all incidents, allegations, and notable occurrences.


-          Complete any follow-up requests and investigations of notable occurrences.


-          Actively investigate all occurrences and incidents and begin investigation upon discover and perform a thorough investigation in a timely manner.


-          Assist with incident training.


-          Assist with updating department and company forms, training materials, policies and procedures, etc.


-          Attend internal and external meetings and training classes as assigned.


-          Perform data mining, analysis, and interpretation of results.


-          Ensure that all processes contributing to the performance of the department are conducted properly.


-          Prepare and assist in preparing annual reports and quality trending reports.


-          Maintain knowledge related to quality legislation and compliance issues.


-          Provide training and support to be prepared for potential inspections by regulatory authorities.


-          Complete audits and reporting tasks per department calendar.

-          Other projects and duties as assigned.


  • Must have a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Nursing or at least (5) years’ experience in auditing.
  • At least one year in quality assurance, informatics, and/or data analysis preferred.
  • Clinical oncology experience preferred.
  • Must be familiar with HIPAA, confidentiality requirements, and government terminology/programs.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and through written work, including detailed reports.
  • Must be well organized.
  • Must be able to prioritize and complete work in an efficient and timely manner in order to meet assigned deadlines.
  • Must be able to work well with others as well as independently.
  • Must be flexible and adaptive.
  • Must be a quick learner and self-starter.
  • Job placement contingent upon passing an Excel proficiency assessment.
