The Director/Coordinator will work with multiple units of the campus community to provide direction, guidance and assistance to optimize ethical and compliant behaviors through effective programs, policies and procedures. The Director will monitor, coordinate and track compliance with federal and state regulations and will bring appropriate offices together to analyze and address the University’s responsibilities and obligations under various regulations. Priority issues include Title IX, Cleary Act, research misconduct, Institutional Review Board, animal testing, laboratory safety, Child Protection, Compliance and Fraud Hotline, and ethics compliance under state and federal law and Board of Trustees rules.
Graduate degree, Juris Doctor degree preferred or a minimum of MS or MA in a relevant field related to major responsibilities of the position/preferably 3 years of work experience in higher education or related experience/must have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills/must possess excellent presentation and facilitation skills with emphasis on education and training for addressing a wide audience/ must have the ability to interpret federal and state law and regulations/must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing/must possess excellent judgement and decision making abilities/must have the ability to work collaboratively and exercise independent and mature judgement/must be able to maintain objectivity and safeguard confidential and sensitive information
