COLSA Corporation is seeking candidates for an Information Technology (IT) Systems Analyst to provide technical advisory and assistance to the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) specific to IT systems architecture and network engineering designs. This position provides global network communications engineering and contract acquisition support. The position will be located in Huntsville, AL. The job duties are listed below.

  • Analyze business requirements to develop technically appropriate and cybersecurity compliant network solutions in support of the MDA mission
  • Prepare project initiation and acquisition packages that will include statements of work, cost estimates, basis of estimates and defined success criteria for complex projects
  • Write functional requirements and specifications documents
  • Conduct technical evaluations in support of contract negotiations and ensure the proposed solutions satisfy project objectives at equitable costs
  • Provide oversight regarding IT design, installation, and integration
  • Provide support to planning and deploying cloud infrastructure; including developing segment, transformational and transition architectures
  • Assist with enterprise networks, systems, architecture, engineering, and operations, IAW DoD Global Information Grid (GIG) standards
  • Work with vendors to ensure project planning and execution are completed correctly and in a timely manner
  • Assist in validating customer requirements for the MDA Wide Area Network, facility IT infrastructure design, and BMDS mission communications
  • Support stakeholders at Integrated Project Team (IPT) and Engineering & Architecture review board meetings
  • Conduct site surveys at remote locations to gather requirements for extending enterprise networks in support of the MDA mission
  • CONUS and OCONUS travel required
Required Experience

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field, or the equivalent experience
  • Minimum of eight years work related experience
  • Active DoD SECRET security clearance
  • Demonstrated operational support experience and attention to detail
  • Ability to quickly and accurately process multiple assignments with aggressive timelines in a fast paced environment
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with planning, deploying and supporting IT network and infrastructure solutions
  • Familiarity with Cisco, Microsoft, or VMWare products
  • Familiar with Security Technical Implementation Guides
  • Familiarity with NIST Risk Management Framework
  • Familiar with Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)
