Description of Duties:
The Missile Modification, Engineering Technician III, works in the Climatic Test Division of Redstone Test Center. The desired candidate will perform Assembly/Disassembly modification operations on missile systems, components and associated hardware. The desired candidate will also modify missiles, rockets, explosive components using specialized tools, equipment, and remotely controlled systems. Under the direction of the SOPs and TSRA. Job orientation and training will be provided.
Minimum of 6 years of experience in Assembly/Disassembly modification of operations on missile systems.
US Citizen and able to obtain and maintain SECRET clearance
High School Education or Equivalent, Associates Degree in a Technical field preferred.
Associates Degree may substitute 2yrs of experience.
EOD/Military experience may substitute up to 4 years of experience.
Prefer experience in Assembly/Disassembly modification of:
Components and Associated Hardware to include Continuity
Working knowledge of missile systems and components a plus:
Must have the ability to follow detailed SOPs and TSRA procedures while performing Assembly/Disassembly modification operations.
Current knowledge of SOPs and TSRA is preferred but not required.
Must be able to use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Must be able to prepare and record informal test reports, give technical briefings, be able to Analyze and Interpret data, and develop technical publications.
Must be capable of taking and passing the “Explosive Level II Certification”.
Must be willing to work in a Hazardous Environment.
Must be a Motivated Self Starter who can lift up to 50lbs, work well with others, have a safety mindset and will be on time for work.
Must have leadership experience and be able to train other technicians.
