We are seeking a Regional Quality Manager, Americas, to function out of our Huntsville, AL location. In this role, you will lead and manage the Quality organization across the region and ensure BASF meets and exceeds all industry quality standards. In addition, you will display strong leadership and change management capabilities that can be viewed as exemplary for the continued development of the organization.

BASF’s Mobile Emissions Group views Quality and customer satisfaction as critical components of our ability to win business and grow in the Automotive marketplace.

Our industry is known for the high standards it imposes throughout the value chain. Quality standards are driven by the Original Equipment Manufacturers, and are governed by the IATF 16949 Quality Management System.

Regional Quality Manager, Americas (1705363) – Huntsville, AL

Formula for Success: You Will…

+ Drive a pro-active Quality culture to sustain a best-in-class Quality Management System (organization, processes, and systems) based on global guidelines including:

+ Management review

+ Nonconforming Products and Activities

+ Customer Complaint Management

+ Analytical Testing Services

+ Auditing

+ Control of documents and records

+ Achieve quality-related objectives within the region.

+ Lead the regional quality organization with responsibility for global quality across all manufacturing sites. Leadership includes coaching and development of employees, motivating and challenges employees in an inclusive environment, and effectively collaborating across functions and with customers and suppliers as required.

+ Recommend resolution measures to remediate most pressing quality issues identified (i.e., cost of poor quality projects).

+ Identify ongoing structure and process improvements to reduce cost of quality while improving quality effectiveness. Achieve excellence in execution with respect to analytical laboratory operations.

+ Ensure the promotion of awareness of customer requirements throughout the region, with focus on the voice of the customer.

+ Report the performance of the quality management system to the Director, Global Quality. Maintain IATF certifications.

Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You…

+ Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or scientific discipline required; advanced degree preferred.

+ A minimum of 4 years of experience in Quality Management, Product Stewardship, or Continuous Improvement disciplines.

+ At least 5 years of leadership experience within a complex organization.

+ Strong Lean Six Sigma methodologies knowledge; Belt certification is a plus.
