As a key member of the In-Space Propulsion Systems team primary duties for the Liquid Propulsion Analyst will include:


  • The ideal candidate will have experience with fluid analysis as related to liquid propulsion systems.
  • Prepare pressure budgets, pressurization analysis, waterhammer analysis, etc. and present data to project management.
  • Prepare trade study reports and technical assessments in areas of Main Propulsion Systems (MPS) and/or Reaction Control Systems (RCS) system/subsystem sizing and performance.
  • Key member of propulsion systems team responsible for pre-test predictions, post-test data review and anomaly investigation, preparation and coordination of propulsion system data review content and presentation.
  • Coordinate, develop, and present technical materials related to propulsion system performance and testing in support of design milestone reviews and anomaly investigations.
  • Other duties as assigned related to liquid propulsion system analyses and systems engineering.




Degree in Engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited university is required. Typically, educational requirements are the equivalent of a Ph.D., with a minimum 10 years of experience, Masters with at least 12 years of experience, or BS with at least 15 years of experience.


Qualifications include: 


  • Tasks may be interdisciplinary in nature and will require working across technical areas and Integrated Product Teams (IPT). 
  • Flexibility and a desire to accept new responsibilities and learn new skills is paramount.
  • Experience understanding, writing and debugging at least one industry-standard language and understanding of standard coding procedures and software requirements processes is mandatory. 
  • Familiarity with FORTRAN is highly desired.
  • Ability to execute detailed technical analyses while maintaining a systems level perspective is essential.
  • Experience with MPS or RCS design, integration, analysis, or testing via coursework or work experience is required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products such as Power-Point, Excel, and Word is required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Familiarity with or experience with EASY5 or GFSSP is highly desired. 
  • Initiative and the ability to translate upper level guidance into actionable strategies and project plans are essential.
