Responsibilities:

 

The key purpose of the position is to plan and perform testing using the Space Launch System (SLS) program Integrated Avionics Test Facilities (IATF) Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL).

The Software Test Analyst will perform formal and informal software testing. This testing will be used to verify software/hardware functionality per established requirements. The ideal candidate will have skills in providing test reports, supporting test readiness, and anomaly reviews, and interaction with Review Boards in support of formal software product release.

 


• Develop and perform test procedures, including pre-test setups such as data acquisition, software loading/configuration and post-test activities such as data archiving and data analysis.
• Develop and use data reduction and manipulation tools.
• Write technical documents including test plans, procedures and reports to address verification requirements.
• Review program/project documents and provide relevant comments from a test perspective.
• Assist in producing integrated schedules and status reports.
• Produce, archive, and distribute test data to support verification closure.
• Evaluate test data to correlate with test findings and investigate potential anomalies.
• Participate in or conduct meetings in support of the above activities.
• Develop test scripts in the Python scripting language.

 

These activities will be on-going as the SLS launch vehicle architecture matures and the SLS program completes program phases, reviews and schedule milestones.

 

Qualifications:

 

A degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field from an ABET accredited institution is required. Typically, educational requirements are the equivalent of a minimum of a Masters with at least 3 years of experience, or BS with at least 5 years of experience. 

 

• Familiar with Linux and Windows environments.

 

• Familiar with XML and C programming syntax.
• Familiarity with DOORS database is desirable.

 

Proof of U.S. Citizenship is required.
