General Summary

Candidate will work in a government Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) lab supporting the Ground Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) program.  This position will involve supporting integration, checkout, and testing for a variety of activities using Single Stimulation Framework (SSF) and/or Objective Stimulation Framework (OSF).  The selected candidate will be responsible for installing and configuring SSF/OSF in compliance with program instructions, ensuring functionality between GMD elements, and documenting configurations and results within the government lab. Candidate will operate SSF/OSF systems for in-house test activities and produce test reports as needed. The SSF/OSF Integrator/Operator will also develop scenarios and convert threats to support specific internal test requirements.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential functions)

* Responsible for analyzing, defining, designing, and developing new system requirements *

* Determines system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility *

* Coordinates design of subsystems and integration of total system *

* Identifies, analyzes, and resolves program support deficiencies *

Required Experience

Required Qualifications

*  Bachelor's degree in related field such as information systems, engineering, etc. or equivalent experience (8 years of experience may be substituted for degree)

*  Minimum of two years system design experience (total of 10 years of experience if no degree)

*  Requires an active DoD Secret Security Clearance

*  Current or recent experience with SSF or OSF frameworks

*  Experience with loading, configuration, and setup of framework software performing benchmark tests and troubleshooting Hardware/Software (HW/SW) integration anomalies

*  Experience with HW/SW integration in an integrated HWIL lab environment

*  Software testing background with experience in the development of software test plans, test procedures, and test reports

*  Candidate must have working knowledge of UNIX and Linux variants

*  Candidate must be a self-starter, have strong written and verbal communication skills, and be capable of working in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

*  Experience with DoD Ballistic Missile Defense System programs and operational knowledge of the Ground-based Missile Defense (GMD) program. Prior Test and Evaluation (T&E) experience supporting Pre-Flight/Ground testing in a System Test Labs environment is highly desirable.

*  Knowledge of current System Test Laboratory (STL) test execution

*  Knowledge of SSF/OSF framework logs for troubleshooting

*  Knowledge of GMD message path between various HWIL systems

*  System Administration experience and certifications are not required but are highly desirable. Industry certifications such as Security +, Linux/Redhat are a plus.
