The Product Manager, Aviation Mission Equipment (PdM AME), PEO Aviation, requires engineering support in the areas military aircraft guidance and navigation systems, including the development/airworthiness qualification of avionics hardware and software systems and subsystems used in Army aviation platforms. PdM AME is undertaking several developmental programs for Assured Position, Navigation, and Time (A-PNT) that require a knowledge of navigation technology and avionics development for fielding an A-PNT capability to the warfighter.   

Required Experience

Required Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field or equivalent experience (8 years of related experience may be substituted for degree)

* Minimum of eight years of experience are required (total of 16 years of related experience are required if no degree)

* Active SECRET security clearance required

* At least five years experience specifically supporting military hardware and software product development, system integration, and qualification

* Familiarity with the Army’s airworthiness process

* Familiarity with civil airspace requirements as applicable to the safety, functional, and performance requirements definition of GPS and inertial guidance and navigation sensors

* Demonstrated character and temperament to work within the Government/contractor team

 Preferred Qualifications

* Master's degree in engineering or related field preferred

* Experience with technical oversight of the DoD systems acquisition and contracting process

* Good understanding of DoD Acquisition processes

* Experience in reviewing or developing system performance specifications, performance work statements (PWS) and statement of work (SOWs)
