These positions are contingent on contract award***** Raytheon Intelligence, Information and Services (IIS) has an exciting opportunity for a Systems Engineer in Huntsville, AL. The successful candidate will support the current and evolving Systems and Computer Resources Support (SCRS) efforts for the Software Engineering Directorate (SED) Customer. The SED, within the Aviation and Missile Research, Development, and Engineering Center (AMRDEC), U.S. Army Research,Development and Engineering Command (USA RDECOM), has development and support responsibilities for myriad weapons systems and related support systems with associated enhancements. The Strategic Systems domain includes support activities for Combatant Commanders and Agencies (such as AMC, MDA, Homeland Security, Program Executive Office Enterprise Information Systems (PEO EIS), TRANSCOM, INSCOM)and related FMS efforts Job Description: Responsibilitiesinclude developing, sustaining, and supporting technical solutions and upgradesof legacy military systems supported at SED. The successful candidate willprovide expertise in all elements of the systems engineering lifecycle; CONOPS,systems requirements analysis and development, system design and architecture,system integration and test, system safety and reliability and maintainability. Systems Engineers provide technicalleadership and work closely with program managers and customers to ensuresuccess of the programs. Systems Engineers are responsible for supporting varioustask orders and providing support for issued Technical Directions (TD)including proposal development and estimates, project planning, and cost andschedule management. RequiredKnowledge, Skills and Experience: · Knowledge of the Systems Engineeringlifecycle · Experience in Systems Engineering,Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or Aeronautical Engineering · Requirements development experienceincluding hardware and software requirements development and allocation andinterface definition · Systems architecture experienceincluding hardware and software requirements allocation and interfacedefinition · Systems integration and test · Expert knowledge in a specific area(e.g. Aircraft Integration, Situational Awareness, Missile Defense, ISR, and SafetyAnalysis) may be substituted for breadth of knowledge. · Experience leading a technical team · Ability to support moderate travelfor system deployment, integration and installation, test and trainingactivities at the customer sites · Experience in engineering projectplanning and estimating · An existing U.S. GovernmentSecurity Clearance or the ability to obtain at Secret level clearance or higher · Excellent teamwork, leadership, andoral and written communication skills · Must be able to work independently,with minimal supervision, establish priorities, task assignments and seeprojects to completion DesiredKnowledge, Skills and Experience: · DOORSor similar requirements management tool experience is desired · Knowledgeof the DoDAF and Systems Architecture experience is a plus · Specificknowledge of Aviation and Missile Defense Systems · Knowledgeof DO-178, DO-254, and Military and Commercial certification standards · Knowledgeof Communications Networks · Priormilitary experience in a user, designer, or test role · Knowledgeand experience in the Department of Defense acquisition process and proposals · Experiencein successful planning, tracking, and estimating of systems tasks Required Education: BS Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, ElectricalEngineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Physics, or related degree from anABET/WASC approved college or university and 8 years of applicable experience.
