General Summary

Participates in the development, testing, maintenance, analysis and delivery of training programs and related materials in support of customer products and NASA systems. May involve travel to customer sites to provide up-to-date training to users as well provide as technical support. Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential functions)

  • Develops training curriculum, demonstrations, and practical exercises*
  • Conducts online and/or classroom training sessions*
  • Updates training material to ensure relevance and timeliness*
  • Develops and maintains forms and records for training*
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of training relative to objectives*
Required Experience

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or the equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years related technical training experience.
  • Will require background investigation for Public Trust clearance.
  • Experience defining/performing statistical analyses of user feedback.
  • Experience conducting training needs analysis, developing surveys, and facilitating focus group sessions.
  • Excellent public speaking and writing skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience formatting, writing, editing and revising software user guides and online help.
  • Experience designing, developing, delivering, and maintaining instructional programs to include instructor-led, train-the-trainer, web-based and/or multimedia training methodologies.
  • Experience working Space Station payload operations and familiarity with NASA programs and terminology.
  • Experience with NASA ground systems software and the means by which payload developers obtain voice, video and data from onboard Space Station experiments.
  • Experience administering COTS learning management system software as a means of levying training requirements and collecting training status for individuals in dynamic and transient organizations.
  • Experience researching/documenting software applications, evaluating software from a human factors perspective to ensure ease of use, and providing recommended software changes.
  • Experience developing SCORM compliant training videos with Captivate and/or Camtasia.
  • Experience with statistical software applications and the presentation of analytics.
