COLSA Corporation is seeking candidates for a Systems Analyst III to join the Advanced Research Center's (ARC) team of professionals. ARC team members are afforded the opportunity to showcase their technical abilities in a fast-paced, dynamic and team-oriented environment, in support of the Missile Defense Agency's (MDA) engineering, development, integration, testing and analysis of Ballistic Missile Defense Systems (BMDS) component systems. 

This Systems Analyst will be responsible for the effective installation/configuration, operation and maintenance of system hardware, software and related infrastructure on multiple platforms, primarily UNIX/Linux systems. Additional duties include daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of hardware, server resources, key system processes and the review of system/application logs. Candidate will be required to have working knowledge and experience with configuring system network interfaces, connecting and managing physical and network attached storage, and conduct tape archiving and retrievals. Candidate will be responsible for working with the customer on troubleshooting hardware/software issues and performing analysis on system problems. Candidate will also work with system users to define problem areas, data availability, report requirements, etc. Responsible for implementing system design specifications. Candidate may also define input/output file specifications to include file organization. Candidate may be responsible for defining controls, conversion procedures and system implementation plans. Candidate will be responsible for serving as an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) for classified systems to which he/she is assigned. Responsibilities of an ISSO include (but are not limited to), account maintenance, security auditing, IAVM implementation, system patching and configuration management reporting. Other duties as assigned. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and exhibit the ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic customer-oriented environment.

Required Experience

 Required Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in a related field, or the equivalent experience

* Minimum of seven years work related experience with systems administration of multiple platforms to include UNIX, Linux, HP-UX and AIX.

* Must possess working knowledge of desktop applications including word processing, spreadsheet and database programs.

* In accordance with DoD 8570.1M, the candidate must obtain an IAT-II level baseline certification (Security+) within 90 days of hire

* Ability to obtain a Computing Environment Certification (UNIX/Linux) within 90 days of hire date

* Current Active DoD SECRET Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

* Current CompTIA Security + Certification

* Current Computing Environment Certification (UNIX and/or Linux)
