COLSA Corporation is seeking candidates for a UNIX/Linux Systems Analyst IV to join Huntsville’s Family of Professionals. Candidate selected will be afforded the opportunity to showcase their technical abilities in a fast-paced, dynamic and team-oriented environment, in support of the Missile Defense Agency's (MDA) engineering, development, integration, testing and analysis of Ballistic Missile Defense Systems (BMDS) component systems.

This Systems Analyst will be responsible for the effective installation/configuration, operation and maintenance of system hardware, software and related infrastructure on multiple platforms, primarily UNIX/Linux systems. Additional duties include daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of hardware, server resources, key system processes and the review of system/application logs. In addition, candidate will support cybersecurity initiatives to include applying required system patches and mitigation of potential system vulnerabilities.  Candidate will be required to have working knowledge and experience with configuring system network interfaces, connecting and managing physical and network attached storage, and conduct tape archiving and retrievals. Candidate will be responsible for working with the customer on troubleshooting hardware/software issues and performing analysis on system problems. Candidate will also work with system users to define problem areas, data availability, report requirements, etc.  Candidate may also be responsible for implementing system design specifications and defining input/output file specifications to include file organization. Candidate may be responsible for defining controls, conversion procedures and system implementation plans. Candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining classified systems to which he/she is assigned. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to), account maintenance, security auditing, IAVM implementation, system patching and configuration management reporting.  Other duties as assigned. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and exhibit the ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic customer-oriented environment.

Required Experience

Required Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in related field, or the equivalent experience

* Minimum of eight years work related experience

* Working knowledge of desktop applications including word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs

* Working knowledge current systems and applications.

* Working knowledge of current high level computer languages
* Current Valid DoD SECRET Security Clearance required

* Ability to obtain CompTIA Security + CE Certification within 90 days of hire date

* Ability to obtain a Computing Environment (UNIX and/or Linux) Certification within 90 days of hire date

Preferred Qualifications

* Current CompTIA Security + CE Certification

* Current UNIX and/or Linux Computing Environment Certification

* Prior experience supporting MDA Ground Test activities; specifically GM Component Hardware Platforms and Integration Efforts (GMDSIM/GMM/CLE/MFE)
