Reimagined Nightlife in Huntsville

This episode highlights reimagined developments found just west of downtown Huntsville. Stovehouse, a former stove factory that produced the first electric stoves, is now known for its shopping, live music, and food garden. Campus No. 805, a former school for many locals to the area, is now a brewery, karaoke bar, arcade, and venue space that also recently celebrated its 10 year anniversary.

Space Camp in Rocket City, U.S.A.

This episode highlights our namesake “Rocket City” and how that branding influenced one of the most unique and iconic attractions in our community. The U.S. Space & Rocket Center was created to be the face of our space work, which started in the 1950’s, and helped produced some of the world’s most intelligent scientists with the help of Space Camp. Now the once known “Watercress Capital of the World” is helping bridge the gap of STEM-related thinking to all generations.

Huntsville’s Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment

This episode highlights Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment, the largest privately-owned arts facility in the United States. With a focus on visual arts, this historic textile mill has been redeveloped into 153 working studios for over 300 artists and makers, 7 galleries, a theatre, community garden, and performance venues.

Downtown Huntsville Ghost Tour

This episode highlights the Huntsville Ghost Walk, a walk that makes stops in three different historic downtown districts and explains the haunting stories of real residents of the area decades ago. Tours book as early as September, with tours on Fridays and Saturdays and go through October, with tours on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
